A Voice From the Journey

Do you hear voices? I do! Our lives are full of noise, fear, worries, and these disconnect and block our mind and body from hearing them.

Are you even aware that you cannot hear?

Carlos has done lost his mind, I hear perfectly well. What is he talking about?

Hm, let's explore that. Most people listen to the dysfunctional noise that surrounds them, and thanks to technology, the world. Yet, they cannot hear. Others have lost some or all of their physical ability to hear, and a few never had any. Amazingly, some with no hearing, hear the the voices clearly and understand that you can be in a crowded room, a concert, a stadium, at the races, or any place else that has raucous noise, yet still hear clearly what has been spoken to you.

You see true hearing does not come from your physical ears and their inner workings. No, true hearing comes from tuning into the Spirit that lives within each one of us. The connection to God, the universe, the I Am, whatever you want to call our creator. He is in all of us and want's to talk with you.

Unfortunately, we allow situations and others to clutter our minds to such a deafening crescendo of disjointed and dysfunctional screeching, that we are unable to realize that indeed we cannot hear.

First you must become aware that you are drowning in noise. Then, make the conscious choice to tell the mind to "Shut Up!" Command it to be quiet, then deliberately focus on the silence; talk to your Father and listen.

You may be out of practice or you never truly learned to communicate. It does not matter, be consistent: tune out the world daily and have a conversation. The voice is there, it might just take a little practice to hear it.

Tune Out, Tune In, and Listen! You will hear voices too.

I am Perfect by Design but Flawed by Interpretation

I am Perfect by Design but Flawed by Interpretation

I am Perfect by Design but Flawed by Interpretation. Some my hear or read this and say “Indeed, I am Flawed!” However, the wisest among us will understand that all of life is a journey. It is the process that molds us, that shapes us, that defines us. Conversely, our choices influence our path. The choices on the path direct the process that ultimately defines us. At any given moment in time, we are either moving closer to or further away from our design. It is a symbiotic relationship.

Deep, I know. Let’s look at the example of a car. It may have the ideal, perfect design. With the perfect design in place, it must go to engineering where each component must be engineered to exacting specifications. The engineers or the programmers, who program the software and or the algorithms use by the engineers, are human and, by definition, make mistakes. From there the car must go into production to be manufactured by more flawed humans and humanly programed robots. Again, mistakes will be made. No matter how perfect the design, a perfect automobile has yet to roll off the production floor.

Once in full production and use, these cars start to show flaws in materials, in their software, in the quality of their parts. Therefore, maintenance issues arise, and recalls happen. The design may have been perfect, but the interpretation of that design by the engineers, the execution by the production staff, and even the use by the owner/driver is not. These issues should then fall into a pattern of Awareness, Acceptance, and then Refinement. For this is the only way this car model can improve and remain viable.

Thus, I am Perfect by Design but Flawed by Interpretation, and I strive daily to make manifest that perfect design. With the full understanding that while I am flawed and will never reach that perfection, staying loyal to the quest brings me inline with God’s perfect design.

The Zombie Life

Have you ever driven from point A to point B, and upon arrival cock your head slightly to one side and ask yourself, how did I get here? I mean you remember starting out, maybe some points along the way, but at some time you tuned out and a while later you were at your destination with no clue how you got there. You were on automatic pilot, not fully conscious or aware of your surroundings, Zombie like. Yes, you are not alone, it happens to most of us. Unfortunately, for the vast majority, it's not just the random drive that is like that, but life itself.

How do you feel about people stealing from you? Well, if you are living a Zombie life, then someone is stealing from you. You are! Your Zombie life is robing you of your most precious possession, meaningful time. There is a difference between time and meaningful time, awareness. The Zombie life snatches the awareness from you. You are not in tune with your friends and loved ones? You may interact, but are truly there? Are you noticing their subtle signals that may be speaking louder than their words? Are you fully aware of your own feelings or have you become numb to them. Living the Zombie life makes it impossible for you to be aware of the opportunities presented to you daily, they just pass you by like a slight breeze. The Zombie life uses forces like the TV, and your personal electronics to suck the marrow of life from you, and you just march a long to it's numbing effects as you forget to live.

The good new is that you can kill the Zombie through the most powerful of all weapons, choice. Unplug from the noise, put down the tablet, have a conversation instead of texting, take a walk, talk to your kids, be present in your own LIFE! As complicated as this may sound, it is simply a CHOICE!

Back from Oblivion

Wow! I can't believe it's been two and a half years since I've written in my blog.

I use to only write in it when I felt inspired to do so.  Just recently I came to understand that inspiration does not just come from an external source, but we all can find inspiration from within.  That which inspires dwells within us. The source, the universe, GOD, is part of us. We find it in the silence.

Yesterday I was reading one of my old Blog posts Breathe in, Breathe out and it dawned on me that if I just sit still and write, the inspiration will come.  The words were written down by me but came rushing to my mind through inspiration, or, if you will, revelation.  Now almost five years later, those words that I shared with you gave me new understanding.  Click on it and read it; I am sure you will receive something from it also.

Therefore, I commit to writing almost everyday in this blog, sometimes it will be philosophical, sometimes just fun or crazy, sometimes about my business or other things happening in my life.  So I invite you to come along with me on this journey to learn, to laugh, and to love... to LIVE!

Why is success so handsomely rewarded?

Why is success so handsomely rewarded? Because the price paid is steep. You will have to get out of your comfort zone, develop new disciplines, feel frustration, deal with the negativity of others, overcome obstacles, focus intensely, confront your fears, and do battle with your worst enemy, yourself. The road will be hard and fraught with danger. Your character will be tested, and tested, then tested some more. However, if you stay the course and grow through the challenges, one day you will look back and say “If had I known then what I know now, I would have gladly paid a larger price.” Are you willing to pay?

Power

Yes, it was I that led the charge
Into the abyss looming large
Let not my ego tell the lies
That it was somehow otherwise

The fog of lies can blind a man
To his true path that lies at hand
Then trapped is he in his own snare
With nothing left to pay the fare

The pain of truth can set you free
Just take Responsibility!

The Common Denominator of Greatness

Do you have hopes, dreams and aspirations? Most people live vicariously through someone else’s dreams and are content to live an insipid, mundane life of mediocrity. The collective mentality of society as a whole ridicules the dreamer demanding that people keep their feet firmly planted on the ground and thereby sentencing them to remain stagnant. The collective abhors individuality. History teaches us that society has rejected and mistreated its visionaries like Copernicus and da Vinci, to name but two. Ridicule, ostracism, scoffing, and at times even imprisonment have been the tools of mass lunacy used by the collective.

Given these attitudes, it should not surprise us that most people have had their willingness to dream beaten out of them at an early age. Yet some of us still dare to dream. However, dreaming alone is insufficient. While every new concept, every new technology, every advancement has sprung from the seeds of dreams, our graveyards are filled with the remnants of suppressed seedlings. For these to mature into reality, they must be nurtured with attributes not easily found in today’s society of immediate gratification: courage, conviction, tenacity, persistence, audacity, faith, perseverance cum stubbornness—yes, stubbornness, and self-reliance.

A life of mediocrity can lead to an eternity of regret. We were not placed on this earth to conspire with the masses but to inspire and prosper. For no creator would give us the ability to dream and to envision what could be without the ability to create it. So I ask you, do you have any hopes, dreams, and aspirations? Is your life what you, as a child, imagined? Do you have the courage to take action in spite of ridicule? Do you have the audacity to create a better life for yourself, your family, and yes, even society? Do you have the perseverance to build a superior life of accomplishment paid for up-front and in full with hard work, frustrations, and heart-ache or will you settle for the mediocre life of human cattle slowly moving in tune to the established rut and creating an eternity of regret? The power to choose lies within you.

The common denominator of greatness: Every great man or woman who has ever lived, has dared to dream and see things the way they could be instead of how they are. And then, deliberately, created a new reality!
